This mineral – a bio-available form of sulfur can do wonders for some muscular/skeletal problems.
I find that is best for muscle/joint aches and for scar tissue. I have seen it touted
for allergies and digestive problems – I don’t know. The most impressive results are with longstanding aches and pains. Some see improvement in just a week or two. It can be wonderful for fibromyalgia.
It doesn’t help everyone – only about half of those that try it. I don’t know how to predict whom it will help.
For people that play sports, it can give you that boost as you get older – help you play harder and longer.
How it works – it is said it helps move lactic acid out of your muscles faster by making membranes in your body more permeable.
You need to take enough – many try it at too low of a dose and give up.
Dosing: ½ teaspoon (2 grams) for every 100 pounds of body weight every 12 hours (twice a day) – so a 200 pound person would take 4 grams twice a day
Form: I try to get people to take the powder. It is bitter, but most can take it – just put it on your tongue and wash it down. The pills usually cost twice as much.
Side effects: Hair and nails grow noticeably faster.
Initial reaction: In about 20 % of users there is an initial period where there are undesirable side effects – aches, flu-like symptoms, etc. They are usually gone within a week or two. If they bother too much, go to a lower dose for a while and work your way up to the full dose.
Where to get it: From us (give us a call), from health food stores (usually in high-priced pills) and even from feed stores (though not human quality – though I am not sure what that means). We get ours from Rich Distributing where you can get further information.
